HEAD continues the evolution of the Radical line with the introduction of Flexpoint technology. Designed to make the frame flex at the 3 & 9 o'clock positions rather than just in the shaft (as with a conventional racquets), HEAD claims Flexpoint technology allows the racquet to cup the ball for increased control and feel. HEAD states that the Flexpoint technology allows for a longer dwell time (duration of the amount of time the ball is in contact with racquet) and ball pocketing, providing the player with increased feel and giving the racquet a larger sweetspot.
Oversize
Oversize player's racquets are getting harder to find these days. Fortunately for oversize fans the Radical Oversize soldiers on. We found Flexpoint technology to offer a solid update to the Radical line. With noticeably more control and feel than with previous Radical Oversize racquets, the Flexpoint Oversize makes for a more forgiving experience from all areas of the court. Fans of the Radical lineup should definitely give this one a try. We loved the soft, controlled feel from the Flexpoint Radical Oversize when pushing forward to attack a short ball or when executing a touch volley. From the baseline the Flexpoint Oversize offers more power than the Midplus version making it a more friendly option for two-handers and players with more compact strokes. We found good access to both topspin and slice and plenty of pace when flattening things out. All in all, this one's a useful all-court racquet and we came away with a favorable response to this most recent version of the Radical lineage.
